# How do I assign a task to a project?

There are 2 options to link a task to a project. Assume that the task and the project have already been created.

##### Option 1

1. Open the module **Assets Tasks**
2. Right click at a project task
3. Click on **Link to project...**

4. Select the project to which the task should be linked.

5. Click on **Save & close**

##### Option 2

1. Open the project to which the task should be linked.
2. Open tab **Tasks**
3. Click on **New...**
4. All available project tasks are shown now

5. Select the task(s) and click **Save & close**
